SHAY ZOLLINGER · Ministry Assistant
Shay grew up in Lambton County most of her life and is very excited about the opportunity to now serve the community in a local church setting as Temple’s Ministry Assistant. She is a graduate of the Word of Life Bible Institute (Owen Sound, ON) and is now currently working on her Bachelor of Theology in Youth Ministry through Vanguard College Online (Edmonton, AB). She has also completed her Level 1 certification through the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC) as well as the Internship Program through Caring for the Heart Ministries. For as long as she can remember, Shay has had a passion for youth ministry and a desire to minister to the next generation of teens and young adults. During her time at Bible college, God expanded this passion to include Biblical counselling which led to her seeking more official training and certification to be able to counsel youth using a gospel-centered method. She is eager to see how God leads her to use her love of both youth ministry and Biblical counselling in her new role as she serves in the student ministries at Temple. Shay’s ultimate desire is to see today’s youth KNOW, GROW, and GO. That they would come to KNOW Jesus, be discipled to GROW in their relationship with Him, and then GO into the world as His image-bearers and be lights for Christ in their homes, schools, jobs, sports teams, etc. Shay’s favourite thing is to get coffee with other people and hear what’s on their heart and how God is working in their lives. She also loves music, reading, writing, hiking, and learning or experiencing new things. She is married to Tobi and they have one beautiful daughter, Hosanna Grace. |
